Success Without the Sprint: Why Life is a journey, Not a Competition

They say life is a race—a competition in which every single occupant of Earth is a participant. Only the swiftest, the smartest, the most competent, and the best minds are considered winners, while others swim in mediocrity, striving to reach the top. There seems to be fixed criteria for determining greatness, and sadly, people are not considered prospects when they fail to measure up to that standard. If it is not academic excellence, it is proficiency in English. If it is not confidence, then it is wealth.
Now, don't get me wrong; I am in no way validating mediocrity. I just don’t understand why our greatness should be at the mercy of people's judgment, expectations, and timing. We are all different individuals, coming from diverse backgrounds. And if, indeed, life were a race, it would be fair. But here lies the case where the race lines on the track differ—some are smooth, others are rocky, and some contain every kind of turbulence imaginable. Hence, people should be given room to grow, to heal, and to come back stronger. We are all capable of reaching the top—the only difference is the pace.

Life is not a race. At least, from a Christian's point of view, it isn’t. Have you ever tried looking at humanity through God's lens? Well, I have, and what I discovered is profoundly comforting. He says, "I alone know the plans I have for you—plans to bring you prosperity and not disaster, plans to bring about the future you hope for." In God's eyes, every individual is wired for success and is greatness personified. His plans for us far exceed what we have envisioned.
We all have distinct paths, and though we might stumble, fail, or encounter obstacles, the destination is certain. Grace abounds, and time can never be against us. If only you could see yourself as God sees you. If only you would prioritize your growth, become the best version of yourself, strive for excellence, and desire to stand out, then that future would be yours.
Be like the eagle—soar beyond the sky.
